Material selection
An enclosed balcony can use standard cabinetry; an open balcony needs more weather-resistant materials, and large areas of white should be avoided because UV turns them yellow.
Feature configuration
Waterproof the laundry area and provide supply and waste for the washer, dryer and sink; the storage zone takes cleaning tools and sundries.
Detailing
Keep the back panel 10 mm off the wall for ventilation and build a 100 mm waterproof plinth at the base so standing water cannot soak in.
